Young Athletes Festival

Special Olympics Young Athletes is a sport and play program for children with and without intellectual disabilities (ID), ages 2 to 7 years old. Young Athletes introduces basic sport skills, like running, kicking and throwing. Young Athletes offers families, teachers, caregivers and people from the community the chance to share the joy of sports with all children. Children of all abilities take part, and they all benefit. Children learn how to play with others and develop important skills for learning. Children also learn to share, take turns and follow directions.

During the 2018 Special Olympics USA Games, the Young Athletes Event will be held at Seattle Center July 2 and July 3 and at the University of Washington July 5.

All children registered before June 1 will receive a t-shirt and 2 tickets (1 child & 1 parent) to the Pacific Science Center and will also be entered into a raffle for a Strider 14x bike.

To register your child or a group go to: www.https://www.specialolympicsusagames.org/young-athletes-festival/

We have reserved a time just for OUR young athletes on 7/3 from 11 a.m.-noon. More information to come but please RSVP to Kate if you will be planning to come! This is for kiddos between the ages of 2-7

Day at M Bar C Ranch-Ranchapalooza

Grab your cowboys and cowgirls and your lawn chairs and join us for some fun at the M Bar C Ranch on beautiful Whidbey Island. Lunch is provided-hot dogs, chips, fruit cup, and juice. Please bring your own if you have dietary restrictions. GF hotdog buns and cookies will be provided by us. 10:00-2:00 is "official time" but you can arrive at the ranch earlier if you happen to catch an earlier ferry. (recommended as the lines get crazy on Saturday-try for the 8:30 or 9:00 ferry and that way if you miss one or two boats you will still make it in time for the ranch activities) Activities include lunch, pony rides, hay ride, costume room, western town and more! Sign up link coming soon. This is a free activity. Families will need to pay for ferry ride.
