Mom's get away weekend in Leavenworth

  • PO Box 1077 Lake Stevens, WA 98258 USA (map)
  • Google Calendar ICS

Hello all DSASC Moms,It's time once again for our annual Mom's Get-away Weekend to Leavenworth!! The dates this year are Friday, May 5th - Sunday, May 7th. For all those who may be new to this event, here are some details: Our host is one of our own moms, Shelly Perera. Shelly, her husband and another couple, are co-owners of a vacation home just outside of Leavenworth. Each year these two couples are kind enough to set aside one weekend just for us moms, giving us a wonderful chance to get away and relax! No kiddos, no hubby, no schedules, no worries - just lots of fun hanging with fellow gal pals! The owners are gracious enough to give us a reduced rate for the weekend, and this year, I'm happy to report, our DSASC Group is going to cover the cost of our accommodations! Be sure to bring some spending money for meals out, shopping, and/or events you might like to try/attend.Please visit www.reflectionhill.com to see pictures. While there, click on the Leavenworth.org link to see a calendar of all the events and activities that may be going on in town that weekend.

The house has beds/pullouts to sleep 14 people. The first folks to respond will get first dibs. After the first 14 responses, I will start a waiting list. The house has bed linens, pillows, towels, a fully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer, tv/dvd player and some board games. There's plenty of open space outside for a walk or a hike up the hill behind the house. We can arrive at the house anytime after 4 p.m. on Friday and should leave around 11 a.m. on Sunday. We usually try to form carpools to get to and from Leavenworth. Some folks can leave in the morning or early afternoon on Friday, others can leave after work and/or once hubbies get home to take over child care duties. Those who get to Leavenworth before 4 can find something fun to do in town. By early to mid-evening usually everyone has arrived. Many folks bring their favorite food/drink to share while hanging out at the house. There's a Safeway in Leavenworth as well as many cute shops to pick things up if you don't want to haul it from home.We usually have breakfast at the house. Lunch and dinner are either at the house or in town, that's decided as the day unfolds. Like I said, there's really no schedule. There are lots of ways to spend the day on Saturday: hiking, shopping, wine tasting, sight seeing, river tubing, or just stay in pjs and read or watch tv/movies. In the evening, some ladies might want to hang out in town at one of the local clubs. Others hang at the house and chat and/or watch a movie. Feel free to bring one or two of your favorites! Sunday morning we'll have breakfast, go through the check out list and pack up the cars. After we check out, some moms head straight home, others spend a bit more time in town before heading back to reality. Either way, hopefully, everyone is well relaxed and rejuvenated after spending the weekend bonding with fellow moms!

Please let me know if you would like to come for one night, two nights or just to spend a day. May is right around the corner and you know how fast time flies. So, let me know as soon as you can if you plan on joining us for this awesome weekend! Feel free to contact me with any questions.Email: j.c.moore@juno.com or phone/text: 425-446-0925.Thanks,

Cathy
